A man has burns to 90 per cent of his body after a fire at Carleton University Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters say the 25-year-old was found by university security on the second floor of a garage around 1:30 p.m.

They say he was conscious but in shock when they arrived and immediately treated for his trip to the hospital.

There was no damage to the garage or anything in the area where the man was found.

Ottawa police are investigating.

Carleton University says the parking garage is closed to anyone except those with cars already inside. However, if your car is on the third floor you will not be able to leave.
