Gracefield couple identified as victims of fatal crash

A west Quebec couple has been identified as the victims of a horrific head-on crash north of Gatineau.

Jeannine Blondin-Galipeau, 70, and Gaston Lavoie, 83, from Gracefield, Que., were killed when their vehicle collided with a southbound SUV on Highway 105, about 45 minutes north of Gatineau.

The driver of the SUV was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred at about 4 p.m. A woman and child in the vehicle were also hurt.

The collision closed the highway for several hours on Monday.
