The Gatineau Olympiques and Adam Chapman beat former teammate Jean-Gabriel Pageau and the host Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-3 Friday night.

Chapman scored a hat trick with all three goals coming on the power play, including the game's first goal after 4:37 of play.

Alexandros Soumakis made it 2-0 for Gatineau (23-24-4-5) before Pageau's scored goal number 31 on the season to pull Chicoutimi (29-19-3-6) back within one.

Charles Hudon tied the score with a power play goal of his own before the end of the first, then Chapman went to work.

The left winger scored after Yoan Pinette got called for checking from behind six minutes into the second, and completed the hat trick with about five minutes in the period.

Former Olympique Christian Ouellet scored three and a half minutes into the third to cut their deficit to one, but Gatineau's Francois Lacerte stopped ten other shots in the period to preserve his 21st win.

Lacerte stopped 31 total shots, while Christopher Gibson made 19 saves in the loss.

Gatineau went three for five on the power play while holding the Sagueneens to one goal on three chances.
