Counsellors help Open Text employees deal with grief
Grief counsellors were on hand Monday to help Open Text employees deal with the sudden death of their colleagues who were killed in a horrific crash on Colonel By Drive over the weekend.
Daniel Larocque, 47, and Angela Williams, 25, were killed when Larocque lost control of his car, causing it to roll about 100 metres on Colonel By Drive early Saturday morning.
The two had been dating for two years and both worked at Open Text, an Ottawa software company. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP, who patrol Colonel By Drive, are continuing their investigation. A preliminary investigation revealed the couple was travelling southbound when the driver lost control of the car, causing the vehicle to roll near the Laurier Street Bridge.
