Many Ottawa residents woke-up to yards littered with debris after a wind storm on Monday night.
Crews were out clearing branches and restoring power this morning after trees were blown down across the city.
At the height of the storm more than 8,000 Hydro Ottawa customers were without power.
Extreme winds also swept through southern Ontario and parts of Quebec overnight. Almost 90-thousand Hydro One customers across Ontario were without power.
