An event to raise money for residents of the fire-ravaged Beechwood neighbourhood will take place Saturday at Ottawa's New Edinburgh pub, located in the heart of the fire damage.

A fire tore through the neighbourhood more than a week ago, destroying a strip of Beechwood Avenue.

Money raised by the event will help people who lost property in the fire rebuild.
