Thirty-three schools in Ottawa have applied to carry the full-day kindergarten program this fall.

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board says it has identified 22 schools to carry full-day kindergarten. Meanwhile, the Ottawa Catholic School Board intends to run full-day kindergarten at 11 schools.

Both boards are awaiting final approval from the province.

The boards made their selections based on several criteria. Preference was also given to schools that already have space to facilitate the program.

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board has applied for full-day kindergarten at the following schools:

  • Blossom Park Public School
  • Cambridge Street Community Public School
  • Carson Grove Elementary School
  • Century Public School
  • Convent Glen Elementary School
  • Featherston Drive Public School
  • General Vanier Public School
  • Glen Cairn Public School
  • Grant Alternative School
  • Greely Elementary School
  • Jockvale Elementary School
  • Manordale Public School
  • Metcalfe Public School
  • North Gower/Marlborough Public School
  • Pinecrest Public School
  • Queen Elizabeth Public School
  • Robert E. Wilson Public School
  • W. E. Gowling Public School
  • W. Erskine Johnston Public School
  • York Street Public School

The Ottawa-Catholic School Board has submitted full-day kindergarten applications for these schools:
