Ottawa police are investigating the city’s 38th shooting of the year after shots rang out on Debra Ave. in the Rideauview area just after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police constables scoured the area surrounding the 9500 block of Debra Avenue following the incident.
They were looking for a suspect. Part of the road was blocked off during the investigation.
The intended target of the shooting called it in to police. A vehicle was fired at, but there are no reported injuries.
This is the seventh shooting in Ottawa in about a week and a half.
