Ottawa police and OC Transpo special constables teamed up Friday night for a safety blitz at several OC Transpo stations resulting in nearly 30 charges.

The seasonal blitz took place at east-end stations including Blair, Hurdman, Place d'Orleans and South Keys.

The zero-tolerance blitz involved officers and special constables in full uniform patrolling stations and boarding buses.

One person was charged under the liquor license act and 27 bylaw charges were laid for failing to produce proof of payment.
