Ottawa paramedics say a man in his 30s was taken to hospital Saturday night following an apartment fire on Rochester Street.
Ottawa Fire says firefighters had to rescue the man from a unit. Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 9:30 p.m.
Paramedics say the man suffered burns and smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
