Heading off to the cottage for the long weekend? Make sure you plan accordingly, as many services won't be available on Monday.

Ottawa City Hall, its seven service centres and the provincial court on Elgin Street are all closed for Victoria Day.

Banks and post offices will also be shut down.

Pickup of all garbage, recycling and green bins will happen on Tuesday instead of Monday, pushing back collection a day for everyone else.

As always, the exception is multi-residential garbage pickup, which will happen on schedule.

OC Transpo will run on a Sunday schedule on the holiday Monday, with the Rideau Centre service centre the only one open.

That downtown mall is the only one of Ottawa's major malls open on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bayshore, St. Laurent and Place d'Orleans shopping centres are all closed.

LCBOs and Beer Stores are both closed on Victoria Day.

All branches of the Ottawa Public Library won't be open for the holiday, as well as city-run childcare centres.

Many recreation facilities are open on modified schedules, but many scheduled programs won't be offered.
