Sir Richard Branson's radio empire is bringing "The Bear" out of hibernation, ditching the Virgin Radio tag.
106.9 "The Bear" signed on under its old name Friday after some on-air drama last week.
The station's morning show crew walked out in an effort to get the old name back.
Managers at the station soon decided to revert back to their old brand because listeners still didn't identify with the Virgin name.
The radio station will remain under Astral ownership.
