Bitter cold temperatures will be replaced Sunday by a snow storm that could dump as much as 20 cm of snow on Ottawa.
Environment Canada says another system developing over Oklahoma will hit Southern Ontario Sunday.
The special weather statement covers the province from Windsor to Pembroke and to Cornwall.
It includes the City of Toronto and the Highway 401 corridor.
The snow will start falling in Ottawa Sunday evening.
The precipitation may change into freezing rain Monday morning, just in time for the back to school and work commute.
There's a potential of snowfall amounts of between 15 to 20 cm.
