The RCMP is showing off 6.8 metric tons of seized contraband tobacco, including 4.8 million contraband cigarettes.
Police say their fight against illegal smokes is helping protect the economy, which they say suffers as a result.
Police destroyed the seized tobacco in an environmentally friendly way. The boxes used to transport the smokes were also recycled.
Police ask anyone who might have information about contraband tobacco to notify Crime Stoppers at 613-233-TIPS.
