Residents of St-Andr-Avellin, Que., a small riverside community northeast of Gatineau, continued to battle flood waters Wednesday.
Twenty homes remained evacuated in the small west Quebec town, located at the half-way point between Gatineau and Montreal.
Although water levels of the Little Nation River dropped about five centimeters on Wednesday, the town's main road remains closed.
Officials are going door to door to make sure residents are okay. More rain is expected to fall on the area this weekend.
