Ottawa police are on the hunt for a man after a 17-year-old female reported being sexually assaulted on a pathway in South Ottawa early yesterday afternoon.

Police say the girl was walking on a pathway between Downpatrick Road and Kendron Lane at about 1:25 p.m. when she was apparently approached from behind and touched inappropriately.

Police say the man fled the area after the teen struck him in the face. The victim reported the man had an awkward style of running.

The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old. He is five feet 10 inches tall and about 250 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and light coloured pants at the time of the incident.
