  • Top Priority: Improving our transportation infrastructure. In other words, building the roads and transit required to support the rapid population growth in Stittsville. Priority road projects include modernizing Carp Road, and completing the Robert Grant extension from Abbott to the Queensway. For transit, I will work with fellow western councillors in Kanata to collaborate and push for meaningful transit upgrades to Kanata-Stittsville, including accelerated investments in light rail and bus rapid transit. Safe, reliable and affordable transit helps all commuters, even those who don’t take the bus by reducing congestion.
  • Hidden gem in your ward: Head down the Trans Canada Trail about 1 kilometre west of West Ridge, and you'll arrive at an observation deck that looks out over the Poole Creek wetland. Every weekend you'll find dozens of residents walking or biking (or skiing) to the spot, where you can observe the constantly-changing natural area. If you haven't discovered this place yet it's definitely worth checking out. Don't forget to bring your camera.

  • Top Priority: My plan for Stittsville public safety has four key pillars: low crime, public health (including mental health), safe roads and emergency first response capability. We are fortunate to have a lower than average crime rate in our community, but safety remains a top priority. I have several projects planned and I look forward to continuing to champion and work with Crime Prevention Ottawa (CPO) and Ottawa Public Health (OPH).
  • Hidden gem in your ward: Stittsville is lucky to have many physical hidden gems, from the Trans Canada Trail to the Shea Road Woods, to many delicious local restaurants and amazing small businesses. To me though, Stittsville’s biggest hidden gem is the people! Every day in our community we have neighbours helping neighbours, and residents and businesses going beyond what is expected.  As a community, we share a reputation of compassion and engagement.  This is why I refer to the people, my friends and neighbours, as my extended family.  We care about each other and together we are building a magnificent community.
