OTTAWA - The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Section is investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the South end of Ottawa on June 26, 2013.

On June 26 at approximately 10:00pm, a 29-year-old female was walking on the footpath between Lancaster Road and Erinbrook Crescent when a male grabbed her from behind, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to call 911 and police officers responded. The Ottawa Paramedic Service treated and transported the victim to a local hospital. She has since been released.

The suspect is described as a white male with olive skin complexion, unshaven, medium build, approximately 175-177cm (5'9"-5'-10") and dark hair. He was wearing a white shirt with black and lighter colored horizontal stripes.
