Ontario Provincial Police are continuing their search for a missing west Quebec man who hasn't been seen since last week.

Police say Sebastien Martineau, 23, was last seen at a residence in Hawkesbury, just east of the capital, at about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 23. He was reported missing on Christmas day.

Martineau is from a west Quebec community located across the Ottawa River from Hawkesbury. Police say he often walked near the water to get from Hawkesbury to his home in Grenville, Que.

Investigators say they fear Martineau may have fallen into the river. However, dive teams and a helicopter search of the area on Monday failed to turn up any clues.

Martineau is described as five feet 10 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, black running shoes and a white hooded sweatshirt when he was last seen.

Police ask anyone with information about Martineau's whereabouts to contact them immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
