Mike Weir likely won't be sticking around for the weekend at the RBC Canadian Open.

The lefty from Bright's Grove, Ont., shot a second-round 74 on Friday and was sitting several shots below the projected cut-line.

Weir last missed the 36-hole cut at his home tournament in 2006.

This was a particularly tough week for the veteran golfer, who wore a black band on his right forearm because of tendinitis.

Weir struggled to find the fairways at St. George's Golf and Country Club and was penalized by the heavy rough.

The 40-year-old has missed cuts in four of his last six tournaments.
