Ottawa paramedics say a man is in serious condition in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Kent Street late Tuesday night.
A 42-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car on Kent Street near Catherine Street around 10:20 p.m. The driver of the car involved in the incident fled the scene on foot.
Several road closures were put in place while police investigated the incident. Closures are not longer in effect.
Paramedics say the man suffered severe head, neck and leg injuries.
