A 57-year-old man likely suffered a heart attack or other medical condition before his car crashed into a wall at Capital Speed City Wednesday night.

Witnesses say they believe the man collapsed behind the wheel before his car crossed the infield and hit a concrete wall.

The man had no vital signs on scene and was rushed to hospital.

He was driving in the last race at the Ashton speed track.

The man's ex-wife contacted CTV News and urged media not to release his name until all family members have been notified.
