The Loblaws grocery store at South Keys reopened Monday morning after a fire temporarily closed the store on Sunday.

The fire apparently started in a deep fryer in the deli at about 5 p.m.

Sprinklers in the store went off but weren't able to contain the blaze. Employees doused the flames with four fire extinguishers, and customers were evacuated.

The fire caused $200,000 in damage to produce, mostly from smoke coming in contact with perishable food. Equipment damage is estimated at $10,000.
