A jackknifed transport truck closed the Highway 401 east of Kingston Thursday morning.

The transport truck left the westbound highway west of Reynolds Road, police said just after 8 a.m. Thursday.

The driver of the truck was uninjured and has been charged, OPP said.

The roadway was closed and detours were in place. It reopened before 9:30 a.m.
