Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal crash that closed parts of Highway 17 in Petawawa late Wednesday morning.
Police say the driver of a westbound 2006 Pontiac collided with an eastbound logging truck near Black Bay Road just after 11 a.m.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, and police said their identity is yet to be confirmed.
The driver of the logging truck, identified as 42-year-old Gerald Ludgate of Eganville, suffered only minor injuries.
Police say there were no passengers in either vehicle.
The highway was closed between Doran Road and Black Bay Road until around 11 a.m. Thursday.
