Eight men were arrested in a prostitution sweep conducted by Ottawa Police in Vanier, a community just east of downtown.
Three of the men were charged with a series of offences including communicating for the purpose of prostitution, mischief, and solicitation. A total of six criminal charges were made.
The remaining five men qualified to attend the Pre-Charge Diversion Program which includes attending “John School.” The program aims to educate “Johns” about the impact of prostitution.
