PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Darcy Greenaway scored a hat trick including the game-winning power-play goal with 2:37 left in the third as the Kingston Frontenacs beat the Peterborough Petes 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

Ryan Kujawinski had the other two goals for Kingston (17-32-6).

Stephen Nosad scored twice for Peterborough (24-26-6), with Andrew Yogan and Lino Martschini adding singles. Joey West and Nick Ritchie each had three assists for the Petes.

Peterborough led 2-1 after the first period then the teams exchanged goals in the first 10 minutes of the second.

Kingston's third goal was a strange one. Greenaway shot from the high slot and the puck went over the net. It struck the end boards, bounced straight back over the Petes net, bounced off the back of goalie Andrew D'Agostini and into the goal.

On the winner, the Frontenacs were pressing and Greenaway was unattended as the puck bounced free of a goal-mouth scramble. He made no mistake burying it.

The goal was Kingston's second on the only two power plays they had. Peterborough was 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Igor Bobkov stopped 34 shots for the win while D'Agostini made 30 saves in the losing effort.
