A 53-year-old cyclist has been rescued after sliding down a steep embankment in the Macaulay Mountain conservation area near Picton, Ont.
Police say the man was biking on the trails in a remote area around noon Tuesday when he fell off his bike and down the slope.
They say a hiker heard him cry for help and called 911.
Police say it took several hours to pull him up the 40-metre slope using ropes, baskets and a winch.
The man, who is from Belleville, was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
