The city has responded to a blanket order to improve safety at three of its four long-term care homes.
The province issued an order covering the Garry J Armstrong, Peter D. Clark and Centre d'Accueil Champlain following a string of incidents.
They include the repeated punching of one resident at the Armstrong site.
In a joint statement, Mayor Jim Watson and Community and Protective Services Committee Chair Diane Deans say they're concerned to hear about the recent incidents, adding the city is working on a plan to respond.
Consultations are set for the fall at all four of the city's care homes.
Staff have also been asked to make a formal presentation before the end of next month.
