A 47-year-old Cantley man is facing charges after police say he was driving while impaired with his six-year-old son in the car.

The man was pulled over on Highway 307 in Cantley around 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, MRC des Collines police said.

He was driving 102 kilometres per hour in a 70 zone, and police say he was driving while impaired. They also said his six-year-old was with him in the back seat of the car, without a child seat.

The boy's mother picked up the child. The father was charged with impaired driving, drug possession and given a $224 ticket and three demerit points for speeding.
