An action movie filmed in Ottawa last year starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Christian Slater debuted over the weekend.
'Sacrifice' was shot at various Ottawa locations, including St. Brigid's Church on Murray Street.
The police drama is now being shown at the Mayfair Theatre, drawing a crowd of curious movie-goers, local actors and even some members of the cast.
"It's going to be neat to see how it all comes together. You don't really know what the final creation is going to be," said cast member Scott Thompson.
"To know that there are local people in it is fantastic; it makes me want to see it even more," added movie-goer Jennifer Merchant. "It's pride; it's local pride."
The movie was produced by Ottawa's Zed Filmworks.
