A worker was killed this afternoon when he was struck by debris at a construction site at Bank and Sparks.
It happened around 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot area of the Bank of Canada building.
Police, fire and paramedics all rushed to the scene to help the 45-year-old male worker. First responders performed CPR for at least 10 minutes before he was taken to hospital. Ottawa Fire officials say he suffered a serious head injury.
Ottawa Police say he died in hospital.
Ottawa Police and the Ontario Ministry of Labour are investigating.
