Vegas boxing match good for business in Ottawa

It has been dubbed "the fight of the century" with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line.

This Saturday’s boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will set pay per view records, and pack the pubs right here in Ottawa.

There is a lot of excitement about the fight at boxing clubs in Ottawa, like Final Round Boxing.

“It’s one of those fights that has captured the imagination past the hard core boxing fans like myself,” says Eric Belanger, owner of Final Round Boxing. “It has reached out to the general public, so I hope it does help business, and get additional fans, if nothing else.”

If you want to watch the fight at home in HD, it will cost about $100.00 on Pay-Per-View.  Many people will be heading to local sports bars but some locations say they are already fully booked

At Hometown Sports and Grill, boxing fans started reserving seats when the fight was announced months ago.
