A few hours before Game 2....some rambling from the dressing rooms.

Milan Michalek talked about his season-ending knee injury in Game 1. He injured his knee late in the season and said he wanted to give it a shot especially at playoff time.

It felt fine -- until he blew out a ligament on an innocent play. His leg got pinned by a Penguins player. As soon as he tried, to skate he knew it was bad.

There are six Senators who got their first taste of playoff hockey Wednesday night. Their energy and excitement about playing seems to be rubbing off on the veterans.

Alfredsson talked about how the young guys bring a good mix to the team. Jesse Winchester says it's good to have that first game in the bank.

Penguins room -- Marc Andre Fleury seems to understand he's under the gun to be a lot better in Game 2. A few big saves tonight he says: maybe the results will be different.

If Ottawa sweeps this series...that's a big if....tonight's game would be the last game ever played at the Mellon arena. They're building a fancy new place next door. The Mellon will be demolished. The site becomes a parking lot. Tonight on CTV News at 6, I'll give you a profile of that arena, as we count down to Game 2 in Pittsburgh.
