CORNWALL, Ont. - Ten people have been charged in an alleged tobacco smuggling ring in eastern Ontario.

The Cornwall Regional Task Force says it broke up an organized crime group involved in tobacco smuggling in South Glengarry.

Arrests were made over a two-month period with the most recent charges laid on Sunday.

Most of those charged with Tobacco Tax Act offences are from the Cornwall area.

The task force seized two boats, two trucks, a car, $2,800 in Canadian cash and more than 400,000 cigarettes.
