Ottawa Police are looking for a suspect they believe was involved in a taxi robbery.
Police say two men called for a taxi from the South Keys transit station around 1:30 am on June 19th, 2016. When the driver arrived at his destination, the area of 2920 Fairlea Crescent, the rear passenger produced a handgun, pointed it at the taxi driver, and made a demand for money. Police say the duo exited the car empty handed when the driver had no cash to hand over.
Police describe the men as follows:
- #1-black male, approximately 20-25 years, 140-160 lbs, goatee and moustache, spoke English and a second language, had an earring in his left ear.
- #2-black male, 18-22 years, goatee and moustache, skinny build
