Don’t let the score fool you.

The Panthers outshot and out played the Senators for a 3-2 victory. It was Craig Anderson making 43 saves that kept the Senators in the game.

The Ottawa Senators open up the scoring early in the first period, as Chris Neil is left alone in the slot. The Panthers tie it up 45 seconds later as Dylan Olsen’s wrister gets by Craig Anderson. The game would be tied 1-1 after one.

The Senators retake the lead early in the 2nd period as Neil draws an assist on Cody Ceci’s rebound goal, his first of the season. Anderson put on a clinic against the Panthers, as he shuts the door on several great scoring chances. Senators lucky to hold onto a 2-1 lead after Anderson stopped 16 shots in the 2nd period.

The Panthers  tie it up early in the 3rd period, Sean Bergenheim finally beats Anderson to tie the game at 2. Jimmy Hayes would win it for Florida midway through the period.

The Senators were outshot 46-24.

The Senators visit the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow.
