It was an epic battle as CTV's Terry Marcotte edged TSN 1200's A.J Jakubec in a 200 metre race. It all started 2 months ago in a conversation about who was faster. Today they met their match at the Terry Fox field, going head to head, live on CTV Morning LIve.
Terry trailed for most of the race, but Jakubec stumbled and Terry kicked it into gear, passing Jakubec a few metres from the finish. It took Terry 31 seconds to complete the race.
This settles a 2 month bet between the two. Mayor Jim Watson was on hand to award Terry the winners trophy. The race raised money for the Sens Foundation and the Military family fund.
