PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Lino Martschini scored forty seconds into overtime to give the Peterborough Petes a 5-4 win over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.
Nick Ritchie, Stephen Pierog, Andrew Yogan and Alan Quine also scored for Peterborough (24-23-6).
Ryan Van Stralen, Sean Monahan, Marc Zanetti and Mike Vlajkov replied for Ottawa (32-13-6).
Andrew D'Agostini made 42 saves to earn the win for the Petes, while Michael Nishi stopped 17 shots for the 67's.
Martschini jumped on a bouncing puck and had half the net to fire it home in overtime.
Vlajkov had forced the extra period for Ottawa when he snapped a shot through a screen with just 36 seconds to play and Nishi pulled for an extra attacker.
