The future of the game of rugby in Ottawa could be in jeopardy.

Twin Elm Park in Ottawa is facing financial troubles and needs help just to get through the winter.

The park has hosted some major events like the Pacific Nations Cup game between Canada and Fiji in 2013, and the Canadian Women's League finals this past July.

The park, now closed for winter, is owned by 4 local rugby clubs, and is run almost entirely by volunteers.

Twin Elm needs between $30,000 and $40,000 just to get through the winter. The 40 year old facility also needs a new roof at a cost of more than $150,000.
