An elderly woman is dead after a two car crash in Buckingham on Sunday afternoon.
Gatineau police say the Toyota Camry the 76-year-old woman was driving pulled out onto Lepine Avenue near the Highway 50 exit ramp and was hit by a pick up truck. The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The victim’s 73-year-old husband was a passenger in the car. He suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
Lepine Avenue was closed as police investigate the crash.
