Police have laid charges after an officer was hurt while responding to a house party in Ottawa’s Sandy Hill neighbourhood.

Police were called to the 100-block of Henderson Avenue just before 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2016. The tenant requested for several people be removed from the property. The disturbance escalated when the individuals became combative with police and one female officer suffered injuries.

Two female young offenders have been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

Caylie Thomas, 18, of no fixed address, was charged with one count of aggravated assault on a police officer

Paul Fisher, 18, of Ottawa, was charged with several firearms and drug-related offences.

Large quantities of cocaine and psilocybin were seized, as well as a small number of MDMA pills. One rifle and one shotgun, along with ammunition for both, were also located inside the residence.
