Two teens have been charged with first-degree murder after an elderly man was found dead in west Quebec.

Jean-Philippe Simard Desjardins, 18, and a 17-year-old were both charged with first-degree murder on Thursday. The 17-year-old cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The charges come after the body of Jacques Jong, 88, was discovered in a home in Plaisance, Que., just east of Gatineau on Tuesday.

Police won't say how Jong died or if he had a relationship with the teens.
