BATH, Ont. - An investigation is underway into an assault on an employee at a maximum-security prison west of Kingston, Ont.
Assistant Warden Vicki Willis says a staff member was assaulted at Millhaven Institution near Bath last Friday afternoon.
The injured person was immediately evaluated and taken to an outside hospital for treatment, and has since been released.
Provincial police are assisting in the investigation.
The alleged assailant, whose name wasn't released, has been transferred to another correctional facility.
