OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators are slashing ticket prices between 20 and 30 per cent for a nine-game stretch starting next month.
Beginning Jan. 1, the NHL club will offer a 20-per-cent reduction in single-game ticket prices for eight contests and a 30-per-cent cut for another.
The eight games affected by the 20 per cent reduction include: Jan. 3 versus Philadelphia; Jan. 9 versus Florida; Jan. 19 versus Chicago; Feb. 4 versus Vancouver; Feb. 9 versus Calgary; Feb. 11 versus Washington; March 27 versus Florida, and April 10 versus Buffalo.
The 30 per cent reduction will be for Ottawa's home game against Toronto on March 16.
"Every game counts towards playoff contention," Senators owner Eugene Melnyk said in a statement. "I want our players to benefit fully from the home game advantage."
The Sens are also offering a Metro Family 4 Pack that includes four tickets, four hotdogs and four drinks for $99. That deal will be available for five games -- Jan. 3 versus Philadelphia; Jan. 5 versus Boston; Jan. 21 versus St. Louis; Feb. 9 versus Calgary and March 2 versus the New York Rangers.
Fans who've already bought tickets for games where prices have been reduced will be refunded the difference.
