The Rimouski Oceanic spread the scoring around Friday as they beat the Gatineau Olympiques 5-2 at home.

Four defencemen, five forwards and even goalie Jacob Gervais-Chouinard got on the scoresheet for the Oceanic (29-21-0-0) who scored two goals in each of the first two periods.

Tomas Hyka scored first for Gatineau (19-21-4-4) in what would be their only lead of the game, as Alexandre Mallet and Francis Beauviller found the net before the end of the first.

Jerome Gauthier-Leduc and Robbie DeFulviis continued the Oceanic onslaught in the second, with the teams trading goals late in the third.

Defender Jean-Philippe Mathieu had two assists for Rimouski.

Backup goaltender Alexandre Michaud played 32:32 for the loss before being replaced by Francois Lacerte, while Gervais-Chouinard stopped 23 shots in the win and added an assist.

Each team had a power play goal, Gatineau in six chances and Rimouski in five.

The Olympiques continue their road trip Saturday in Quebec City and Sunday afternoon in Drummondville.
