Ottawa police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a fatal hit-and-run nearly three years ago.

Police say they've received close to 100 tips related to the Aug. 11, 2013 collision, which claimed the life of Michael Morlang.

But they have yet to identify a suspect.

Morlang's parents joined police in urging anyone with information to come forward.

Brian Visneskie and Kathryn Morlang say the last few years have been painful for them.

They say they will not be able to find closure until the person responsible for their son's death is held accountable.

"We have not been able to move on with our lives. We have no closure. The person responsible for Michael's death has lived the last two and a half years without ever taking any responsibility for their actions," they said in a statement.

"Michael always found the good in people and it hurts knowing that someone out there may have the information needed to solve this crime and has yet to come forward."
