Ottawa police confirmed Saturday that the deaths of two people in an east Ottawa townhouse on Thursday were a murder-suicide.
Police were called to the home on Beaconwood Drive early Thursday morning.
Police have identified the victim as 51-year-old Alem Haile. Her husband, 60-year-old Yassin Mender was also found dead at the scene.
This is Ottawa’s seventh homicide of 2014.
