A 24-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving after police allege she tried to pick up her child from daycare while drunk.
Staff at the Bebejou Day Care Centre called Gatineau Police when the woman showed up to collect her 16-month-old daughter and drive her home.
Officers arrested the woman at an intersection about 10 minutes away and allege the woman resisted arrest and threatened the officers. Tests indicate a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
The child is in the care of the province. The woman is also charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her system, two counts of uttering death threats and three counts of breaching court orders
