The luck of the Irish was out in full force in downtown Ottawa on Saturday for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

A few days before the day dedicated to Ireland's patron saint, clear skies helped the Irish Society of the National Capital Region entertain onlookers. There were marching bands, floats, festive music, and plenty of green everywhere.

The parade began at City Hall and moved through Centretown and the Glebe to Lansdowne Park. The Ottawa Food Bank collected money and food donations along the route and at the wrap-up party.
